There is an elderly WWII veteran that lives in the neighborhood behind my school whose home burned down and he lost everything. To make matters worse, this gentleman, who is well into his eighties, had recently let his home insurance policy lapse leaving him no means to rebuild. My friends Andrea, Kimberly and I heard about this man at school during chapel and after seeing the news footage, we decided we needed to take action to help him....

We helped families who were in need by giving them food, household items and gift cards. Sixteen families were selected from our community that were all experiencing hardships. The families chosen were struggling with challenges such as lost jobs, suffering from serious illnesses, abandonment, loss of homes due to fires, and more....

I am doing a project on giving cards to people who have just had heart surgery. My class is going to help me make cards for them. We are going to drop them off at a hospital, for them to give them to patients who have just had heart surgery....

In our neighborhood, there is a nursing home for people who have catastrophic injuries. It is for people who are hurt so badly, they cannot take care of themselves. Some people can hardly move and are stuck in bed. They get bored and lonely and need something to cheer them up....

Six widows of the Military Officers Association of America have a goal to collect 2 million phones nationwide they are 1/2 way there. I want to help them achieve their goal. Each cell phone turns into a pre-paid calling card for 60 minutes of talk time for military overseas. Even though many military personnel Skype, there are areas where there is no internet and this helps to fill in the gap....

Our second grade class held a Gently Used Toy And Game Sale G.U.T.A.G.S in our school. We wanted to raise money for a nearby community that suffered much damage from flooding in the early fall. They couldnt even start school on time because of all the damage they suffered in their town!...
