Here's how we're taking action in our community:

We are taking action in our community by helping our school start a recycling program and raising money for recycling bins.

Here's how we got the idea:

Our idea started because we noticed that teachers were sending bags of empty water bottles home with students who recycled. We realized that the school did not have any recycling bins so we thought we would try to start a recycling program at school to help the environment.

These are the steps we took:

We walked around campus and decided we needed a lot of recycling bins for the school. We sold Boo Grams during October to raise money to purchase the bins. We researched online how much it would cost for the number of bins we needed. Then we purchased the bins for our school.

Here are some of the results:

We sold 400 Boo Grams and raised $400 dollars and ordered 5 large animal decorated recycling bins for our school.

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

The cool thing about our project is that students loved the boo grams and we are helping or school help the environment.

One of the most important things I learned was:

I learned that making boo grams takes a lot of time and recycling bins are expensive.
