Here's how we're taking action in our community:

We are taking action in our community by making thank you cards for soldiers that serve our country.

Here's how we got the idea:

The idea came from wanting to write cards to the military people and wanting them to know that there are people who appreciate them.

These are the steps we took:

We took the following steps was:
Shared with our 5th grade teacher about the idea
Talked to my class about the idea and asked if they wanted to participate
We also research websites to where we could send the cards
We got supplies and then got my class to write cards for the military

Here are some of the results:

Our efforts resulted in our 5th grade class writing letters and hopefully having the entire school to participate

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

The cool thing was that my teacher really enjoyed our project and she spread the word to the principal. Now, we want the entire school to participate on this project.

One of the most important things we learned was to always be kind to others and to say thank you for the people that serve our country.
