Here's how we're taking action in our community:

Helping SoCal Food Allergy raise money so they can continue their food allergy treatment for kids.

Here's how we got the idea:

My mom made wizard wands for my birthday last year and kids loved them. So we thought it would be a good thing to sell to kids.

These are the steps we took:

We went to the store to buy materials to make the wands. My mom did the hot glue part because it was too tricky and hot for us to handle. We helped with the paint and the sealer and the designs.

We all made announcements in class to "market" the wands and charity. My mom sent some emails out.

We worked hard to sell the wands at the booth.

Here are some of the results:

We made 39 wands (we tried to make 40 but messed up on one). Each wand was $9.75 because it is the same as 9 and 3/4 and that is like the Platform in Harry Potter book. We sold all of them. We made almost $400. It was amazing!

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

We got to tell people about food allergies and we were happy people liked the wands.

One of the most important things I learned was:

I learned I can make a difference and I had fun doing it.
