7.00 hours$67.00 raised

Here's how we're taking action in our community:

My school had a Ripple Fair where we could have booths. My family made unicorn and dragon horns out of air dry clay wrapped around gel pen inserts. Then we painted them in many colors and used metallic and glitter paints as well.

Here's how we got the idea:

Saw the idea for Unicorn Horn pens on youtube. Decided to make dragon horns too for the boys.

These are the steps we took:

1. mold/twist air dry clay around gel pen inserts in shape of horn.
2. let dry for 2 days
3. paint in many different colorful patterns (rainbow, pinks/purples, black/silver, blues, red/gold, etc)
4. add glitter paint
5. made poster about oc animal care
6. sold pens for $2-$3 each at school's ripple fair

Here are some of the results:

Sold 27 pens, raising $67

These are the people who volunteered with me:

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

People really loved the pens

One of the most important things I learned was:

helping animals can be fun.
