Here's how we're taking action in our community:
We are taking action in our community by helping animals in need by collecting donations. We are giving the donations to the Irvine Animal Care Center.
Here's how we got the idea:
We got our idea during a meeting. We came up with 3 to 4 different ideas and then we all voted. The Animal Shelter project won by 1 vote. We decided on the Irvine Animal Care Center because it is located in our city.
These are the steps we took:
After we voted on the Animal Shelter Project, we made flyers to hand out to all the students at our school and posters to hang around the school. We put out donations boxes for students to bring their donations. We collected the donations after about 2 weeks and then delivered them to the animal shelter.
Here are some of the results:
We collected 2 boxes of blankets & towels ~20, a box of toys (15) & leashes (10), 2 boxes of dog and cat food, a dog bed, several grooming supplies

The best part of the project was delivering the donations to the animal shelter and seeing all the animals.
