Here's how we're taking action in our community:

We made clay charms and sold them at a school Ripple Fair to help Ethan and Choco's Book Club. This organization is building a library and reading program at Children's Hospital Orange County.

Here's how we got the idea:

Our friend Sophie L came up with the idea. She had been making clay charms for awhile and wanted to make them to sell at the fair.

These are the steps we took:

We got together and made clay charms to sell. Our Moms helped us bake them and sell them at the fair.

Here are some of the results:

We sold a lot of charms. They were all priced $2-$3 each and we had necklaces for $1 and bracelets for 50 cents. We sold $330 worth and still have orders coming in for us to make custom charms.

These are the people who volunteered with me:

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

Our booth was really busy. Everyone wanted to buy the charms and we made a lot of money for Ethan and Choco's Book Club.

One of the most important things I learned was:

Working hard to help out a worthy organization makes us feel really good. We have time to give, so we have that time to help a good cause.
