Operation Christmas Child

2.00 hours

Here's how we're taking action in our community:

I am helping children in third world countries by providing needed items.

Here's how we got the idea:

Weve heard about the organization though our friends and decided to join them.

These are the steps we took:

My mom and I purchased sanitary items, school supplies, and toys for children in need. We packed the items and prepared five shoe boxes which we then brought to the organization and then for two hours we helped pack another 40 shoe boxes.

Here are some of the results:

My effort will result in many children around the world smiling this Christmas because they will receive items they would normally not be able to have.

These are the people who volunteered with me:

My family, An organization

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

I realized how lucky I am to have all that I have. Even a toothbrush and toothpaste is a luxury to some children. The organizer of the event said in some villages up to 40 kids share one toothbrush!

One of the most important things I learned was:

That I am very fortunate to have all that I have and that it feels good to help others and not just worry about myself!
