Here's how we're taking action in our community:

I am raising awareness about autism and helping to raise money for the Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders.

Here's how we got the idea:

I got the idea because my brother, J.R., has autism.

These are the steps we took:

When I heard there would be a Ripple Kid Fair at Hicks Canyon, I wanted to participate. We decided on making fuzzy hair pencil toppers.

Here are some of the results:

I sold 75 pencils and raised $75.00.

These are the people who volunteered with me:

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

The kids were excited to buy my pencils. This made me very happy and I was able to talk about autism awareness.

One of the most important things I learned was:

I learned that its important to let other kids know even though autistic kids are different they are just as important and deserve respect.
