Here's how we're taking action in our community:

At the Friday Arroyo Assemble we announced our project. To earn money and help a local Animal Hospital. There were 3 ways that kids could help. 1. Donate used blankets and towels 2. Buy Lemonade after school 3 Donate some of your allowance. Choice Chavez had a great idea after our project was announced to sell Otter Pops and they were a huge success. We have already earned $128 dollars and have 2 days left at our Lemonade stand.

Here's how we got the idea:

Selling Lemonade is always a great way to generate money. Then since I earn an allowance, I thought it would be great to encourage kids to just give. Briannas Mom said that at their pre school they would always sell Otter Pops and they were a big hit.

These are the steps we took:

Told my Mom of the Lemonade stand Idea. Then discussed how we would advertise. We then came up with the slogan "Lemonade or Money you made". We registered with our parent helper that organizes for Arroyo and she gets permission from the Principal. One we had approval my Mom and I worked on a poster, flyer and a speech for Friday assemble. I also realized we would need help so i invited some of my friends and brother to join.

Here are some of the results:

Each day we sold over 2 gallons of Lemonade, we also sold over 50 Otter Pops each day and people donated over 5 dollars of money every day in a Jar that was located on our table.

These are the people who volunteered with me:

My friends, My family

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

Having kids donate money without getting anything in return.

One of the most important things I learned was:

It takes a lot of work and dedication of your team members an self.
