A Spring of Hope

A Spring of Hope is made up of a group of students with a common goal, to impact another\\'s life for the benefit of the world community. It is our mission to bring opportunities to learn and thrive to African children who are restricted by poverty or illness. Schools in many parts of Africa cannot produce successful adults that will make a difference in their country without necessities. Whether these are clinic facilities, school supplies, or even running water, A Spring of Hope will do everything in its power to provide schools in impoverished areas with these necessities.

California Volunteers
CaliforniaVolunteers is charged with increasing the number of Californians involved with service and volunteerism throughout the state. CaliforniaVolunteers administers programs such as AmeriCorps and Citizen Corps, the Cesar Chavez Day of Service and Learning, guides policy development to support the non-profit and service fields, and is responsible for the coordination of CaliforniaVolunteers.org, a statewide network that matches Californians to volunteer opportunities in their communities.

Childreach
Childreach helps children and families living in 43 developing countries around the world to develop long-term solutions to break out of the cycle of poverty through community-based programs revolving around five areas: growing up healthy, learning, livelihood, habitat, and building relationships.

Children for Children Foundation
Founded by a group of parents in New York City, the Children for Children Foundation’s mission is to endow the next generation with a sense of responsibility for others and encourage them to participate in the greater community.

Corporation for National and Community Service
The Corporation for National and Community Service connects Americans of all ages and backgrounds with opportunities to give back to their communities and their nation through voluntary service.

Dollars for Darfur
This organization was started by two high school students who got ‘tired of waiting for others to change the world’. In Darfur, hundreds of people a day are raped, starved and murdered by the Sudanese armed forces and a Sudanese government-backed militia known as the Janjaweed. At least 400,000 people have died and more than 2 million Darfurians have been left homeless. You and your high school can help join the fight to stop the killing.

This is a national network of young people who know they can make a difference in their communities and take action to change the world around them.

Earth Force
Earth Force helps provide youth with knowledge and skills to discover and implement lasting solutions to environmental issues in their community. Earth Force Youth Advisory Boards, also known as YAB, gives youth a chance to be leaders and work to involve other youth on environmental issues. In the process, they develop life-long habits of active citizenship and environmental stewardship.

Kids Helping Kids

Kids Helping Kids is a unique organization that evolved from a 10 year-old\\'s simple idea and big heart to raise $240 in order to keep one Ghanaian child out of trafficking into a fundraising and leadership movement for global transformation. We collect NEW Teddy Bears from caring people everywhere (like you!) Then we provide the Teddy Bears FREE to qualified counselors, medical professionals, rescue and law enforcement personnel. They give them to kids impacted by conflicts, war, violence, abuse, neglect, natural disasters, accidents, or life-threatening illness.

Playpumps International

Do Something Awards
