Here's how we're taking action in our community:

Every 2nd Saturday of the month this church in partnership with Mission El Camino Foodbank meet at Fremont Elementary in Santa Ana. The students above helped sort food and fill bags with all the goods for the people who turned out.

Here's how we got the idea:

Amy ConnellyPTO President made me aware of this program.

These are the steps we took:

We all decided to meet at the above elementary school on 12/8 at 7:30 a.m. and helped out where it was needed.

Here are some of the results:

The church spokesperson said they would help about 200 people or so that day.

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

Meeting the church members and working together as a team to help support the community and people that turned out that morning.

One of the most important things I learned was:

That there is a very big need in the community for this kind of help and support and that it would be a great idea to try and meet here every 2nd sat. of the month to assist.
