Here's how we're taking action in our community:

All of us are having a lemonade stand in our community to raise money for the Irvine Animal Care Center. The animal care center will use the money to care for sick or wounded animals. When the animals arent sick or hurt anymore, the will get adopted!

Here's how we got the idea:

During lunch at school Ruby and I were sipping on some lemonade and talking to each other about our different dogs. Thats when the idea hit me. I adopted my dog from the Pet Expo and saw so many animals that needed homes. Thats when the idea hit me.

These are the steps we took:

We had an idea.
We shared our idea with friends and family.
On Friday, we all made posters together to advertise to buy lemonade to raise money for the animal shelter.
Next day, we made lemonade at took it to a sports event in our community.
On Sunday, we took the $58 dollars to Irvine Animal Care Center.

Here are some of the results:

We sold about 30 cups of lemonade. We collected $58 dollars. We made about 25 people smile and helped cats, dogs, bunnies, chickens and a pig at a shelter to get the care that they need before they get adopted!

One of the coolest things that happened during my project was:

When we got to look at all the pets at the animal care center.

One of the most important things I learned was:

No matter how much money you raise, you had fun and will still be helping animals.
