Hi – I’m Lily, one of the resident Ripple KidsTM. So, you have an idea to make a difference – that’s great! Here are a few steps you can use as a guideline to get your project started. If you need help, visit me and my friends – we’re hanging out in the RK Clubhouse

TIP: If you’re already a registered Ripple Kid, login now to use the to-do list and calendar to help you with your planning. If you haven’t registered yet, be sure to ask your parent to help you out. You don’t want to miss all the cool things you can do!

  1. Make a plan
Now that you know what you want to do, figure out how to make it happen. Make a timeline and a list of the things you need to do to get it done. (If you need help, check out how some examples of how to do this in our profiles) Do you need other volunteers to help you? If you want to work with a specific organization such as a retirement home or animal shelter, who do you need to talk to there to set a date and a time? You’ll need an adult to help you whether it’s a teacher, your parents or somebody else. For information on opportunities in your area, check out our Resources section.

  2. Be a Ripple Kid! It’s time to implement your plan and make a difference in your community.

  3. Make sure you submit your project when you’re all done and send it in to us

  4. Remember that you can continue to make a difference even after this project is complete. You may learn something the first time that helps you decide what you want to do next. Keep the ripples going!
